Zachary Lipez is a longtime musician / writer / bartender / hanger-on / well-wisher within the NYC music scene(s). He has co-authored a number of books of essays, photography, and fiction with Nick Zinner and Stacy Wakefield. His writing has otherwise appeared in various culture organs ranging from Washington Post to Penthouse. He sings in the gothic metal band Publicist UK.
His new radio show, Abundant Living, focuses on post-punk, fully embracing the expansiveness/meaninglessness of the term. Like the Terry Valentine character in The Limey: certainly not a person (or in this case genre), more like a vibe.
Basically, new and old music alike that can be considered, by someone, somewhere, post-punk. Rightly or wrongly.
