Profile
Daniele Mizar
A Sicilian now based in London, Daniele Mizar is a DJ, broadcaster and record collector inspired by the warm sunny atmosphere of Southern Italy and influenced by a passion for Bossa Nova and Latin Jazz. ‘Isola Paradiso’ is his new monthly show, a sonic journey through Italian music culture. It is a space intended to showcase some of the goods that Italian music has been providing for decades, and to connect more emerging Italian artists and musicians to the London scene. The show will feature golden classics and rare gems, fresh releases and interviews with the artists to get to know their histories and music more in depth. For a bit of extra context, Paradiso is the neighbourhood Daniele grew up in – in the beautiful Isola of Sicily – and it is also a reference to the soundtrack composed by Ennio Morricone for the film “Cinema Paradiso” (true masterpiece shot in Cefalù).
