In the mid 1960s, deep in the heart of the countercultural years, when many things things seems possible, when the boundaries of consciousness were being explored and pushed forward, when human and scientific achievements were coming thick and fast, a a British psychiatrist and a science journalist, prompted by a terrible disaster, carried out a peculiar experiment with time.
