DJ Scribe

Ben “DJ Scribe” Goldfarb is a dj, record collector, music producer, and writer from NYC. Arguably best known for his I Love Vinyl party series, which brought together resident djs Scribe, Ge-Ology, Amir Abdullah, Shawn Dub, The Twilite Tone, OP! and Jon Oliver in NYC for monthly parties at venues like Output’s Panther Room and Le Poisson Rouge for nearly 10 years, he has been collecting, deejaying and throwing parties for over 30 years at legendary NYC venues like APT, Good Room, Joe’s Pub, and Halcyon. I Love Vinyl’s self-produced radio show hosted guests like Gilles Peterson, Grand Wizzard Theodore, and Fatima, for in-depth in-person interviews alongside vinyl selections.

These days you will find Scribe playing at Public Records, Eavesdrop, and Precious Love, an audiophile vinyl listening session held at the venerable Blue in Green and organized by fellow Soho Radio host, Rustam Ospanoff. Scribe plays everything from Golden Era Hip-Hop and Dancehall, to Detroit Techno and Spiritual Jazz. He is also a contributor to Love Injection zine and Dust and Grooves.
