Our aim is to celebrate and champion the people that are roaring in the face of adversity. Each episode will feature a live studio guest, round-ups from our specialist fields and the ‘20s quiz. We’ll play some of our favourite tunes and chat our way through the political turbulence that dominates the world while bringing you our take on the most notable new books, performances, exhibitions and music that we’ve come across that month.
Her début novel ‘Mrs Death Misses Death’ will be published by Canongate Books in February 2021, and her latest poetry collection ‘Pessimism Is for Lightweights: 13 Pieces of Courage and Resistance’ took the spoken word world by storm in summer 2018. Salena also released her ‘LIVEwire’ album on Nymphs & Thugs in spring 2017.
Salena Godden is one of Britain’s foremost writers and poets and her début novel ‘Mrs Death Misses Death’ will be published by Canongate Books in February 2021, Amah-Rose Abrams is top arts journalist and Matt Abbott is a poet, educator and founding owner of indie spoken word record label Nymphs & Thugs.
