This month’s episode features Boris Cassone from the french & japanese band PoiL. As PoiL Ueda, they released in march 23 a new album with Junko Ueda, vocalist and satsuma-biwa player from Japan. The album opens with a Buddhist shômyô chant practiced by monks to ward off evil spirits. The second part of the album plunges us into the naval battle of Dan no Ura and the grievous decline of the imperial Heike clan facing the Genji clan.

We discuss inventing languages, the power of interpretation and how to push creation forwards thanks to traditional sources.
