“R3 Soundsystem is back in full effect to pick up the fight. Gideön is proud to present this mix of resistance and revolution music, a selection of tracks from the UK, US, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Angola and Italy that have soundtracked or come to symbolise some of the most important social and political struggles of the last 40 years. Featuring a little intro and a few pearls of wisdom borrowed from the prison recordings of Angela Davis, R3 looks back in reverence at her ideas, energy and determination. We can learn a lot from Angela’s example and strength in our own battle; one which is only just beginning.”
