WHH NHS Radio Day
WHH NHS Radio Day – a 12-hour broadcast live on Soho Radio to say thank you to NHS & Social care staff for their work in combating Covid-19.
On Friday February 19th 2021, Warrington and Halton hospital radio stations – Radio General (Warrington Hospital) and Radio Halton (Halton Hospital) – joined Soho Radio in saying a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to NHS and Social Care staff for their astounding efforts to combat Covid 19.
The day was filled with legendary broadcasters, special guests, shoutouts and inspirational NHS staff and patient stories. Featuring shoutouts and shows from Liam Gallagher, Robbie Williams, Lauren Laverne, James Blunt and more, and interviews with those working on the frontline during the pandemic.
Through the pandemic, Radio General and Radio Halton haven’t had their normal interaction with patients and have had limited access to their studios. We wanted to join forces to help them reach the patients once again, and help in showing support for all those who have worked tirelessly over the last year fighting the pandemic.
