The Music Library feat. Daniel Hart (23/03/2022)
Paul Sandell is back to present the latest in Library Music as well as looking at music across TV, film and radio.
Award winning composer Daniel Hart guests on the show to talk about his career in composing soundtracks for film, TV Podcast and more. We’ll talk over his beginnings playing and composing with artists like St Vincent, The Polyphonic Spree and Broken Social Scene and leading into his ongoing partnership with the director David Lowery. From short films with Will Oldham to working with Disney on Pete’s Dragon to idiosyncratic films like A Ghost Story or the lush beauty of the film The Green Knight – Daniel’s soundtracks are uniquely composed and complement David’s films massively.
We’ll talk over his work and the differences across all the projects alongside working on the music for the supremely popular Podcast S-Town and working on touch documentary subjects with the filmaker Elaine McMillion Sheldon.
