For Anané, it was the first place she felt fully free to express herself, through movement and through music. The club is her church, the booth her pulpit, places to share her voice through the sounds of house, disco, R&B, hip hop, world music and more. In a career that has spanned almost quarter of a century her influence is deep, and her body of work as a DJ, producer, singer, artist, curator and label owner has had widespread impact throughout the music industry.
