SCENE/SOUNDS (31/05/2022)
Paul Sandell is back with a brand new show SCENE/SOUNDS – following on from his show The Music Library SCENE/SOUNDS continues his focus on the music of the big and small screens – from scores to sound design, from Library music to Foley artists, from theme tunes to library music.
The composer Pedro Bromfman guests on the debut show to talk over how he went from adoring Morricone’s score to Cinema Paradiso to then writing his own music for film and TV.
His career moves from library music to soundtracking the trials and tribulations of Colombian drug cartels in the hit series Narcos, to tackling an iconic character in the reboot of Robocop to also the differences in composing for hit video games like Far Cry 6 and Need for Speed.
We’ll also celebrate the life of Vangelis and reflecting on the influence of Depeche Mode with the sad passing of Andy Fletcher by playing some music from the incredible live documentary 101.
