Pop Tart’s Mixed Bag (26/08/2021)

Some people say that those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it. That would be totally cool if you kept forgetting what an amazing party you went to last week. But when a super-power can’t remember how shitty they are at nation-building, it’s not very fun. This week’s show blends news broadcasts and commentary from the fall of Saigon with the fall of Kabul. The blend is fairly seamless, because it’s basically the same news broadcast, filled with the same doubt, shame, humiliation, horror, and failure. All mixed up in the bag, as usual.
