“I recently re-watched David Lynch’s Eraserhead and thought: this is a terrifying adult nightmare. The dark industrial themes, the wildly repressed sexual dysfunction, and maddening hallucinations would be perfect to mix up in the Bag. Since contrast is often one of the major themes of the show, I ripped a bunch of Sesame Street shows to represent . . . you know. The kids! With music by Woody Guthrie, Sara Vaughan, Fast Flicker Finger, Enrico Caruso, and The Fume Heads.”
