Nick Carpenter feat. special guest Earl Slick and Mick Rock (17/06/2021)
Nick is joined by the guitarist Earl Slick who was of course one of David Bowie’s longest serving sidemen. Earl talks about his forthcoming solo album ‘Fist Full of Devils’ as well as working with Bowie on tour and in the studio, in particular the making of the seminal ‘Station To Station’ album. Slicky also played lead guitar for John Lennon on ‘Double Fantasy’ so has many a tale to tell.
In the second hour the acclaimed music photographer Mick Rock calls in. He is the man who took so many of the famous shots of Bowie in the early days as well as album covers for Lou Reed and Iggy Pop. Mick also made some of Bowie’s pioneering early videos like ‘Life On Mars’.
