Doc ‘N’ Roll feat. Dorothy Max (01/06/2024)
Ahead of the upcoming screenings (June, London and Brighton) of Marco Porsia’s ‘What you could not visualise: Rema-Rema’ documentary, we meet with Rema-Rema’s own Dorothy Max. We speak with Max about her ‘Jill-of-all-trades’, Punk Girl life taking her from being a drummer in cult, post-punk band, Rema-Rema (along with other bands – The Weekend Swingers and Psychic TV), to being a performer working with the likes of Derek Jarman, to writing her 2022 published book ’69 Exhibition Road: Twelve True-Life Tales From The Fag End Of Punk, Porn and Performance’. Also on this week’s show, we chat with Sheffield DocFest’s Creative Director, Raul Niño Zambrano, who gives us an exciting insight into this year’s 31st Edition of the Festival, starting in June.
