Deep Tenor City is a radio, DJ’ing and curation vehicle based in London, with a listenership that is global.

Deep Tenor City has been hosting shows on Soho Radio since mid-2017, presented by Dan Tenor-City. Dan has been collecting music since the late eighties and can be found DJ’ing at various venues at home and overseas. He’s also active in the house dance scene.

Each show is an intriguing mix and journey, with a wide range of drops and messages combining with the very best in originals, re-edits and remixes, and released/unreleased criss-cross rhythms – from synth boogie, steppers, heady funk, funk rock, Afro-this, Afro-that, to house, free soul, 1st & 2nd generation disco, AOR disco, fusion and brash Latin.

Deep Tenor City shows are available on Mixcloud and Mixcloud Select. To date over 450k mins of Deep Tenor City shows and Dan Tenor-City DJ sets have been played on Mixcloud.

As a production vehicle, Deep Tenor City has released three EPs on BBE records to date, including the well acclaimed “Oba” and “Fireheart”. Deep Tenor City productions can best be described as organic dancefloor fusion, though ever evolving. Dan’s is also associated with the Prescription Pricing Authority reworks project which has three 7” releases on Sweden’s GAMM Records label.

Dan has been an active curator in partnership with Open Ear, helping to create on-brand soundscapes for various businesses.
