Bureau of Lost Culture – Flashing On the Sixties: Part 1 (07/01/2023)
Lisa Law’s story is extraordinary – her images are extraordnar. She shot Dylan, The Velvet Underground, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Otis Redding, Peter Fonda, Denis Hopper, Timothy Lear, Ram Dass, Allen Ginsberg and many, many more, providing an unparalleled glimpse into the music scenes of the 60s and 70s, California’s blossoming countercultures scene, and the world of hippy communes life in New Mexico.
They are moments that she lived, witnessed, and recorded on the frontier of cultural change.
And she joined us from Xalepa in Mexico to tell us all about it – in this, the first of two episodes.
