Bonita (31/05/2022)
South America has an incredible spectrum of musical styles, ranging from traditional raw, rural, percussive chants or ‘rezos’ to sophisticated and sleek Latin Jazz and Salsa, which in a way reflects the multiculturalism that encompasses South America – a mix from Indigenous, European and African mainly, and therefore the traditional sounds adopt different elements and influences from these.
Join Bonita whilst they attempt to rescue old sounds and highlight the new, with the intent of fighting stereotypes about Latin America in the world and opening the conversation of Latin representation and identity.
Bonita is, Desta French, SagaUno & Santiago Morales aka Alma De La Selva.
