A Record of Living Beings (05/08/2023)
Record has a meaning of ‘document of first-hand experience’. AROLB explores the idea of perceived reality expressed through live and incidental recordings, lyrical narrative, sound art, speech, and contrasts in sound. In case that is sounding a bit up its own arse, it is very much a show about melodies and full expressions captured in moments of time, both as recorded music and as lo-fi recordings made on location. Live manipulation / dubbing is done through a cassette 4-track recorder, and there will be contributions from other perspectives either via mail or in person.
Raimund Wong is most recognised for his graphic work for Church of Sound and Total Refreshment Centre as well as a number of London & international artists. As a sound artist he is developing projects with Tyrone Isaac-Stuart, Danalogue (The Comet is Coming), Joshua Idehen, Clementine March, and in partnership with Chestnutt (Snapped Ankles) as Floating World Pictures.
